Artist in residence at Lago Maggiore, Italy
In recent years an increasing number of artists are approaching to glass as a medium for art.
Big Bang each year selects a visual artist for a residency of 15 days.
In the Lago Maggiore area, the artist will have a studio focused on the creation of glass sculpture (kilnforming and lost wax) and an assistant that will guide and help her/him in creating objects, installation and / or glass sculptures. The approach is completely experimental in the sense that the artist is not obliged to produce a finished work but could become acquainted and deepening of glass as a material used in contemporary art.
